How to Obtain a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Profile and Certificate?

In this article, I will share why and how you can obtain important documents related to your Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) information. There are six documents that you can obtain from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) portal as follows:

  • LLP Profile.
  • LLP Registration Certificate.
  • LLP Name Change Certificate.
  • Personal Involvement of Partners & Compliance Officers.
  • Copy of LLP Statutory Documents.
  • Limited Liability Partnership Integrity Certificate (ALLPGS).

Obtaining Documents from SSM

To obtain these documents, you need to go to the SSM XCESS portal (https://xcess.ssm4u.com.my). For your information, the XCESS portal is a platform provided by SSM for the sale of products or information for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).

LLP Profile (Fee RM20)

  • This document contains basic LLP information (such as LLP name, LLP registration number, LLP registration type & LLP registration date), LLP status, declaration date, registered office address, business address, partner information, compliance officer, type of business conducted and contact details (e-mail).

LLP Registration Certificate (Fee RM20)

  • A notice of LLP registration certification will be issued to customers after registration has been made. However, an LLP registration certificate can be provided if you have a request.

LLP Name Change Certificate (Fee RM20)

  • A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) name change certificate is issued to you after a successful LLP name change.

Personal Involvement of Partners & Compliance Officers (Fee RM100)

  • This document contains information related to the Personal Involvement of LLP Partners and Compliance Officers. Searches can be made using an identity card number, passport number, Police ID or Army ID.

Copy of LLP Statutory Documents (Fee RM15)

  • A copy of the LLP statutory document is a form submitted by an LLP.

Limited Liability Partnership Integrity Certificate – ALLPGS (Fee RM50)

It is a verification document issued by SSM to verify the existence of an LLP and confirm that the LLP has fulfilled the requirements for statutory submission. The following are the criteria for issuing ALLPGS to an LLP:

  • The LLP has been established for at least 18 months from the date of the ALLPGS application.
  • The LLP has submitted the latest annual declaration.
  • The LLP has an ‘existing’ status and is not in the process of winding up or dissolution of the LLP name or dissolution.
  • The LLP has a registered address.
  • The LLP or LLP partner does not have outstanding compounds with SSM.
  • The LLP or LLP partner does not have any outstanding prosecution cases with SSM.
