    In this article, I will share with you how you can update your Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) information. For those who don’t know, you can do it all online and entirely from home. You can also go to the nearest Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) office. They will assist you in using the same system on a computer provided for this process. However, at the SSM office, you have to wait for your turn to use the computer and it is quite uncomfortable to do it in a crowded environment. Ideally, you should do it at your home or office.

    Steps to Update Your LLP Information

    This process can only be done by your LLP’s Compliance Officer. Now, I will briefly explain the steps and process of changing LLP information as below:

    1. Visit the MyLLP portal and click “Post Registration”?
    2. Then select “Change of Particulars”.
    3. Enter your LLP registration number and search. Then, select your LLP name to begin the updating process.
    4. Here are the changes you can make:
      • Change of registered address.
      • Change of business address.
      • Change of business type.
      • Change of partner and compliance officer information.
    5. On the page, confirm your application.
    6. Make a payment of RM30 and submit the application.
    7. The application will be reviewed and if there are no problems, your application will be approved within a few days. You will receive an email once the application is approved.
